At last, an energy-saving alternative to traditional ceiling spots. These new downlighters are fitted with LEDs rather than halogen bulbs, so they should last 30,000 hours. That’s around 20 years if switched on for 4 hours a day. And because they use only 3W of power, they use up to 85% less energy than ordinary 20W halogen spots. Their bright white 4,500 Kelvin light is similar in power to the equivalent halogen lamp, and these brand new versions provide a full 300 lumens of light, almost double the lumens of previous models.
