The silicone Smart Steamer enables you to steam fish, vegetables, meat, fluffy rice etc in a standard saucepan, and because it needs less water and lower heat than boiling or braising, it can save up to 50% on your gas or electricity consumption too. Simply inserted below the lid, Smart Steamer seals your pan to create a steamy atmosphere, allowing heat through the lid but locking all the moisture inside the pan. So you need almost no water in the pan, as the food cooks purely in the steam. Nutrients, vitamins and natural flavours are locked in, ensuring healthy and delicious food.
